Where do you keep the puppies - in your home or at a kennel?
The puppies are born in my very own bedroom with me there in case there are ant
issues. When the turn about 2 weeks old they get movies to the living room.
Do male dogs or female dogs make better pets?
Many male dogs are bolder and more aggressive than females, but many other males are
described as "goofy" and "klutzy" and "big softies" and "good ol' boys".
Female dogs are more prone to mood swings and emotional theatrics. Female dogs can
be very sweet and loving when they're happy -- but grumpy if something isn't to their liking
Are the puppies socialized with other people and dogs?
Yes your puppies will be started on socialization when they get a little older. They are
around cats, dogs, people and kids.
Do you provide the puppies with any form of training?
Puppies will be started on potty training at 4 weeks old on potty pads. That way
hopefully it won't be a hard for you to potty train your new puppy.
May I see the sire or dam of the pup?
Sure, You can either set up an appointment to stop by and see the parents or you can
request to have pictures sent before you come to see them.
What should happen if I am no longer able to keep the dog, will you take the
dachshund back, or do you have any other policies?
Yes in my policy it states I will take the puppy back. There will not be money return but
the dog is to not go into a shelter.
Can I register my puppy with the AKC ?
Yes they can be registered with the American Kennel Club. Unless other wise stated.
What is the pedigree of the puppies' parents?
You can request for the parents pedigree's so that you can see the lines of the puppies
you are interested.
May I see the dog prior to making my purchase?
Of course you can. You will have to set up an appointment to come by.
What are the negative traits of this breed?
Worries about serious spinal problems that afflict 1 out of every 4 Dachshunds.
Suspiciousness or sharpness toward strangers when not socialized enough. Potential
scrappiness toward strange dogs. Stubbornness, Notorious housebreaking difficulties,
Digging holes, Barking
What are the positive traits of this breed?
First off, these little guys and girls love to play and have fun. Natural comedians they
will do almost anything for a laugh. Another great trait is their desire to be a great
companion to you and your family. Dachshunds are a very intelligent breed of dog and
have a hunting instinct that drives them to be independent and at times "outspoken".
